Of local interest, the Alachua County Tourism Developement board voted on Friday to increase the bed tax by 2% to 5% to fund a 16 stadium baseball complex in cooperation with the Cooperstown Dreams Park where little league tournaments will be held. I ammended the motion to aprove by capping the investment at $7M. I am doing what I can to see our taxes well spent locally.
