Typos and Pattern Recognition
November 18, 2009
I make a lot of typos when I write. Typically I wake at 5 a.m. and start writing immediately. My brain sees patterns where none exist; for example I frequently forget to use the word “the” since I see the word in my mind’s eye. That is how I function and I am unlikely to change my habits.
When you read my posts, bear this in mind. I am not being sloppy but demonstrating a familiar human frailty.
What do you see here, in this pic shot at Chitzen Itza in Mexico:
Some otherwise intelligent people see a stylized elephant’s trunk, while others see only a randomly carved stone.
See what I mean?
